The UK can be proud to say that it has one of the oldest stock exchanges in the world in the London Stock Exchange. Its origins go back to the coffee houses of 17th century London some 300 years ago.
Since then the world of trading has become accessible to anybody with a PC that can access the Internet. The world for buying and selling share was already available but the web has made it easily accessible from monitoring the shares, having up to the minute breaking news that effects prices in the market and also the ability to actually perform transactions online make it one of the fastest growth areas for an older generation deciding to get wired up and surfing.
The golden rule to follow is the same as it is in gambling and auction buying dont invest what you can not afford to lose. |
